Tonight I was wanting some kind of dessert, but I didn’t feel like baking or slaving over the stove for a few hours! So here is a quick and easy dessert that I’m sure you will want to try again!
Lemon poached pear recipe:
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup water
- 3 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 2 Bosc pears (halved and cored)
- In a medium pot, mix the sugar, water, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Bring the mixture up to a boil and then add the pears.
- Turn the heat down so the mixture is just simmering, cover and poach for 3-5 minutes or until pears are soft but still have some texture.
- Serve immediately with vanilla ice cream and some lemon zest for garnish
